Failure to distinguish between true and pseudomyopia. Pseudomyopia caused by excessive eye use does not require glasses. Simply paying attention to eye hygiene can restore vision. Some parents, when their children have trouble seeing, do not take them to the hospital for standardized examination but directly give them glasses, which may turn pseudomyopia into true myopia.

If true myopia is confirmed, wearing glasses with the appropriate prescription and paying attention to eye hygiene will prevent the myopia from worsening spontaneously.
